I suspect you will have the same issue when adding the Facebook APP token that is required or other options too. Unfortunately we don’t have any hacks to make this global for MU installs at this time.

No it still pulls in the tokens and everything else just fine, just need the timezone piece taken care of..
Strange they are both simple db fields being saved. Is it possible the time is set proper for the other feeds on front end just not the setting on the settings page?

Yes but rather than hacking up the code I decided to go a different route and just alter the main site and set it up how I wanted, then created a custom page template that was blank except for that calendar and then just iframed it into the rest of the sites so it flows into their design and works like a champ.
Well right on! always more than one way to get things done if you know how to code!
