GlotPress integration

    Hi guys,

    Nowadays it’s impossible to use the GlotPress translation of the plugin: you use loco-translate as slug and loco as parameter to localization functions. This way WP downloads a file called wp-content/languages/plugins/loco-translate-pt_BR.mo when it should be wp-content/languages/plugins/loco-pt_BR.mo and all the plugin strings remain in English.
    Is there some plan to modify this and start using the GlotPress content?

    Other question: is the languages/loco.pot file updated?

    Hi.

    I’m aware of this. See my answer in a thread from last week:

    Other question: is the languages/loco.pot file updated?

    This file should always be up to date with any code that goes live. If you find it out of sync please report it as a bug.

    FYI. Current development version (2.0.14) has migrated the 2.x branch to use the “loco-translate” text domain. The 1.x branch now uses the text domain “loco-legacy” and will be completely removed in version 2.0.15.

    I notice though that Glotpress extracts ALL strings regardless of the text domain, which renders this separation worthless.

    Thanks @timwhitlock! I’m very happy with that.

    GlotPress extracts it all, but it only imports the loco-translate-pt_BR.mo/.po file, so the loco-legacydomain won’t work, but that is a minor problem, though 🙂
