    Hi,
    Thank you so much for this handy plugin that you made.
    I using it about 8 months maybe more and configured google smtp, and everything was OK untill last night, about 2 hours after updating new version, I received this error:
    Gmail cURL error 35: OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to http://www.googleapis.com:443 wp mail)
    and did everything but couldn’t fix it

    Hi

    Have you checked that your server SSL root certificate is correct and not expired? I’m talking not about LE that is used on your site, this is different.

    Anyway, this is the issue with your server setup, and not with the plugin. So I would suggest to contact your hosting provider support and get the technical support from them.
