Followed your instructions explicitly to set up gmail oauth. It sure looked like it worked and its all set up and enabled, but I can not get past the verification screen after logging into the Gmaill account to verify consent. Waited a day to make sure the settings were complete, same issue. Can not get it verified no matter what I do. Then I went back and added a logo and privacy URL and now it says it takes 4-6 weeks for google to confirm. I gave up. Going to use another plugin I guess and abandon Gmail smtp.

I am submitting this just to let users know its not so simply to setup Gmail oAuth.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @jacguerrant

We hope this message finds you well.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. I deeply appreciate it and am truly saddened and concerned that you’ve faced this issue.

I’d like to clarify that this process is outside our support scope and is unrelated to our end. Additionally, I believe the last part of your feedback might unintentionally mislead other users. To provide clarity, Gmail API does not require verification if you’re setting up an OAuth-based plugin for SMTP for WordPress or if the app is assigned non-sensitive scopes. You can find more details here.

On a brighter note, I’m thrilled to announce that we have an exciting upcoming feature in our Pro plugin! This feature will allow users to configure the Gmail API with just one click, simplifying the process significantly.

Thank you once again for your understanding and for bringing this to our attention. If you have further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.

    Warm regards,
    Support Team – WP Experts
