Hi @tmsn10,
Thanks for reaching out, and I apologize for the trouble! Please kindly know that the WP Mail SMTP plugin acts as a bridge between your WordPress site and your Gmail account through the Google API. If there’s an issue with sending emails, it is possible that your server is breaking the connection with the Gmail account you have created, or you may have reached the email sending limits of your free Gmail account.
To find more information, please check the WP Mail SMTP -> Tools -> Debug Events section to see if you can find any errors. For detailed instructions, please refer to: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-debug-email-sending-issues-in-wp-mail-smtp/
In case you have reached the email sending limits of your Gmail account, I suggest configuring an alternative mailer on your site. You can view all the available mailers here.
I hope this helps to troubleshoot the issue further.

Thank you for your answer @darshanaw
Unfortunately there are no errors in debugging, my gmail account has not reached its limits either . If there are no errors in debugging, does it mean that the plugin connected correctly to gmail? Could there have been a temporary disconnection? The strangest thing is that most emails work. After customer order product, the plugin sends an email to me and to the customer – sometimes one of them does not arrive. Maybe that’s the reason? That the plugin sends 1 email to me and 2 to the customer and if it does it at the same time, it sometimes fails?
Hi @tmsn10,
Thanks for getting in touch! Since there are no errors in the debugging logs, it’s likely that the plugin is connected correctly to Gmail. You can also send emails to multiple recipients.
However, intermittent connectivity issues can occur due to server-side downtimes or temporary network problems. While these are often hard to diagnose, they can occasionally disrupt email sending without leaving clear error messages.
Please contact your web hosting provider’s support team and ask them to check the error logs related to your site to see if they can identify any issues.
I hope this helps. Thanks!

I changed the settings of the payment plugin, i.e. it sends an email to me immediately after the order (before payment) and to the customer after payment. From that moment on, all emails have arrived. I will observe in the next few days whether it is a coincidence or if it really helped. Do you have any idea why this could have worked?
Hi @tmsn10,
I’m glad to hear you got that sorted. If you experience this issue again, please provide the name of the payment plugin, and I’ll share it with our developers for further review.
Thanks!
