Suggest you change to any PHP plan.
I do know the Windows Deluxe with CGI will also work.
Thank you for responding MichaelH.
I already called Go Daddy, and switched to Linux. The CSR told me that I had installed WordPress correctly, but the Go Daddy system doesn’t support WordPress installation using Windows.
I am waiting for the update (Go Daddy said could be up to 72 hours) to be completed, before I start celebrating.
I have sort of the same question: I have Godaddy for hosting, i installed the wp platform and now i would like to change the theme. I downloaded a theme from free wp themes, and don’t know how to upload it and get rid of the other theme.
I am using Filezilla also and for some reason, I cannot figure it out…this is very frustrating. If anyone can help me out with this, that would be great.
So my question is, how do I change the theme for my wp blog in the godaddy hosting account. The people at godaddy don’t know how to do it either…
If you email me at shadow12 gmail, I’ll give you a hand.
Guys, could you please make the WP template change public. I had the very same problem.
Here is the problem in details:
I have done the basic setup (WordPress blog on Godaddy) and been given the most simple wordpress template, so I would like to replace it with another theme.
Now I have experimented with different wordpress templates e.g. blue edition 1.0 and prosense (all checked & validated by ww.wp.xz.cn) and I constantly get the error message “
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_header() in /home/content/y/i/d/nameofthesite/html/blog/index.php on line 1
(I replaced the name of the site).
I have checked the header php and e.g. on prosense it is
the usual “<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “- etc. etc.”
The index.php is the normal
<?php get_header(); ?>
Maybe I messed up something on my own computer. Can you help me please? I feel devastated.
Oh, and of course I have been trying to use the FTP Client in Content on GoDaddy to send files from my macbook to the FTP client, rather than some uploading program.
