dyd u give WP permission to use the database? When you edited the wp-config.php did u get the correct DB information inputted?
When I am working with godaddy, I named the wordpress folder “blog” and put blog as the database name. I put my godaddy username in the mySQL username box, and the password as well… The password. I kept the host as localhost. What did I do wrong?
What plan/package do you have with godaddy?
BTW, a search above for ‘godaddy’ will return a wealth of information…
I am working with http://www.godaddy.com, I believe we use their basic package, I am not sure…
Find out. No one else can.
THis is what it said in my acount: Economy Hosting w/ ASP / Windows

Change it to Linux.
Also, follow the advice given by Yosemite: do a search here for “godaddy” and you’ll find a lot of information.
How do I change it to Linux?
Talk to your host – isn’t that obvious?
I share a hosting account with my cousin in caifornia, I need their credit card number for tech support, I live in Texas, and I do not believe they would give me their credit card number for any old reason.
I don’t think you need any credit card. What you need is tell your host to switch your account from Win hosting to Linux. It’s the same price.
I’m having the same problem as you, I’m using godaddy and trying to install wordpress for a friend of mine.

Godaddy recently upgraded to a new version of php which I think is causing the problem.. but I’m not sure yet..
