Hello,
We indeed noticed this error in an edge case on our side too. This was our way get it:
1. Activate and setup Polylang on a secondary site on multisite.
2. Activate the option to delete all Polylang data when the plugin is removed.
3. Uninstall the plugin from the network (while keeping it activated on the site).
4. Install the plugin on the network
5. Go to the Polylang site. The plugin is active but has no option and thus badly fails.
That’s not something we would expect a user to do often. However, this error is supposed to be fixed since Polylang 2.6.8, released only 3 days before your review. Maybe you were still using an older version.

Hello,
Indeed I have to fully suppress Polylang and it’s data. (+ manual delete of three entries in wp_option table that where not cleared !?)
Then reinstall and it works but …
This option impose that I must reinstall all languages and manually reset the right language to all pages, post an products (+ all link between the translations).
A full big day to repair 😉
All seems ok.
Hopefully, it was our new site in developpement, so no public impact
Kind regards,
Philippe
