    I have been using the free TablePress plugin for three years, and I am satisfied with it. You can make customizations to change various aspects of the table layout, and I prefer it to the native WordPress component.
    The support from Tobias Bäthge is always punctual, polite and very fast, questions asked in the morning are answered the same day.
