• i previously said this was a good plugin i was mistaken the plugin i used last time was not this one ,this one started off well but like most say you need to upgrade to a pro paid version to get images to post on your site.

This also stopped updating the feed no matter what the time was set to it just wouldn’t work so it was uninstalled and weblizar was installed which does let you use images etc for free

    Hey ZEDorDEAD,

Sorry to hear that you weren’t satisfied with the plugin. We respond to all support requests very quickly and so if you’re experiencing an issue with the plugin not updating then if you posted a quick message via either the support section on this site or via our website then we would get back to you right away with some help.

In regards to displaying photos in your posts, as you pointed out this feature isn’t available in this free version of the plugin. We try to make this clear in the plugin description. We do offer a lot of features in our free plugin that other free plugins don’t include, but in order to display photos and videos you’d need to upgrade to the Pro version. We have to offer a Pro version in order to allow us to spend the amount of time required to support and release ongoing updates for the plugin. Without a Pro version we wouldn’t be able to do this unfortunately as it’s just too much work. I do appreciate and understand your opinion though. The Weblizar plugin is just the Facebook Page Plugin which we also include in our free plugin.

Thanks for your honest review. If there’s anything I can do to help change your mind about our plugin then just let me know and I’d be happy to do so.

    Have a great week!

Thanks for your reply and i totally understand the need to charge premiums but now with jetpack including facebook/twitter feeds as standard with all the trimmings i need this and other fb feed plugins will become obsolete

    Hey ZEDorDEAD,

Just to clarify, the Facebook widget in Jetpack is just the Facebook Page Plugin which I linked to above. The downside of that plugin, and the reason why we built this plugin, is that it doesn’t allow for any customization at all in regards to styling or configuration and isn’t SEO friendly. It’s just embedded into your site using an iframe with Facebook’s branded styling. You can’t change colors, hide/show certain posts, or do any other customizations beyond their very basic built-in settings.

This is great for some people, but for others they prefer a more customizable solution, hence why we named this plugin the “Custom Facebook Feed”. So long as there are still people who want to display their Facebook content on their websites in a unique, customizable and integrated way then this plugin won’t become obsolete anytime soon 😉

I’m glad you found a plugin which is a good fit for you, and all the best!

    John
