Good Spam Plug-in?

Hello,

I run two websites, both of which use WordPress. However, one is a hybrid site using WordPress and html and runs a much older version of WordPress due to plenty of customizing I’ve done to get it to integrate well. The new site I recently launched has the latest version/buld of WordPress installed with little to no customization and is why I’m making this post. 🙂

On my old site, I run the excellent Spam Karma 2 plug-in to battle SPAM. I works extremely well and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

However, I’ve had the new site running for about three full months now and have noticed and increase in SPAM comments. Before I try and implement the older Spam Karma 2, I’m wondering what is a good SPAM plug-in for the latest builds of WordPress? Is Spam Karma 2 still a suitable option? I can’t seem to find a recent build of this plug-in though…
