• Hello,

I recently installed google tag manager and I am very nearly fully set up.
The google analytics enhanced ecommerce tracking is working perfect.

The google ads tracking is tracking conversions only but not conversion value.

I notice that ecommerce variable are missing from the dataLayer, maybe this is why conversion data is not being passed? Is there a workaround for this?

    Thank you

    Hi,

If you have enabled enhanced ecommerce tracking, you could create a data layer variable and enter this value into the data layer variable name field:

    ecommerce.purchase.actionField.revenue

You will need to add this new GTM variable into your Google Ads conversion tag so that the order value is not only read from the data layer but also sent to Google Ads.

Instead of this, I would suggest to connect your Google Ads and Google Analytics accounts and import your GA goals and transactions into Google Ads which will result into the same conversion tracking and importing transactions will also import their revenue metrics as well. This way, you can eliminate one tracking code loading (or perhaps blocked) in the browser of your users.

Thank you for your response, however when I try to import conversion for GA to my Ads account, the only conversion action showing ready to import is ‘contact information’.

Do you know how I can set up purchase data as a goal in GA?

    Thank you

Please check whether ecommerce is enabled in the view that you have connected to your Google Ads account:
