    Hi,

I am a bit confused about using Google Analytics with Complianz. I’ve followed the guide (https://complianz.io/how-to-configure-google-analytics-for-gdpr/), set up my property accordingly and added the ID to the wizard.

However, data is tracked extremely unreliably on GA. The site is still in progress, so there’s not many users on there in general – however, it only tracks our external developer who is from Bangladesh, and no Austrian activity at all (although everyone else in our team who is working on the site accesses it from there).

What could be the issue behind this? I haven’t set up any filters in the GA property and I also accepted tracking in the cookies (as I understand that tracking is only enabled once a users agrees to these cookies).

    Thank you for your help!

    All the best,
    Christina

    Hi @cstoll,

In Germany/Austria, it is required to gather consent from visitors before statistics can be gathered (even anonymous). That could explain the difference between the visits from your external developer, and visits from within Austria.

But it really depends on your configuration. If you can share the URL of the website in question, we will have a closer look.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi @cstoll,

There is a Content Security Policy active on the site, which blocks the Analytics script from loading. Please refer to the attached screenshot here for the error: https://ibb.co/vVtJCw5

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi,

thank you so much for the help! Especially since it wasn’t even the plugin that caused the problem.

Changing the security policy now fixed it.

    All the best,
    Christina
