    Hi there,

A few hours ago I created a new GA account, installed and authorized the plug-in. But site statistics still aren’t populating my WP Dashboard, or in my GA Dashboard for that matter. I’m wondering, how long does it take for the functionality to kick in? Is it possible there was an error inserting the Tracking Code? I found it in the source file of a page but have no idea how it should appear. Any advice would be appreciated!

    My stats:
WordPress 4.2.2 running Catch Responsive theme.

  • The tracking code looks fine, for further debugging use this.

Since everything except for today and real-time gets updated once after midnight, if there is traffic, you should see it in Real-Time report or Today’s report.

Per your link, I cleared the cache and now RealTime is working.

Does past traffic get tracked? And if so, I assume that will happen after midnight in my GA/WP timezone?

All traffic gets tracked from installation time. Only the reports will take a little longer to display that traffic.
