Hi,
You have a wrong setup on your page: you have added the same container ID into the first tab on the settings page of GTM4WP and into the Google Optimize container ID under the Integrations tab. You should remove the container code from the Google Optimize tab since the a Google Optimize container is very different from a pure Google Tag Manager container ID.
You have also added your GA tracking code either manually or with a plugin using the Google Global Site tag (gtag.js) and also using the plugin “WooCommerce Google Analytics Pro”.
All in all you have way too much tracking code in your site for the same or similar purpose, this should be cleared first.
Hi,
Thank you a lot for your kind support, yes you are right i have the WooCommerce Google Analytics Pro” and Analytify plugin running.
but if I deactivate both plugins especially Woocom Google Analytics, will this stop tracking and affect these Woocommerce settings here https://cl.ly/e66cf7
Thank you,
Hi,
This is because the various Google Analytics related plugins implement different checkout funnels. GTM4WP uses a checkout funnel where the step are the following:
1. Billing data
2. Shipping data
3. Shipping method
4. Payment methodAfter this only the transaction itself is being tracked on the order received page.
Please also make sure that your GTM tracking is setup as described in this article:
https://gtm4wp.com/how-to-articles/how-to-setup-enhanced-ecommerce-trackingHi,
Thank you a lot for your kind support and advise. I have disabled both pluigins (Analytify and WooCommerce Google Analytics Pro and I have followed the article instruction.
I have a question please 3 questions pleas:
1- in the article it mentions:
“Enable every feature you already enabled in other Analytics tags (like display features, enhanced link attribution, etc.) or select your Google Analytics settings variable if you have created one previously”
How can i do that? i’m not sure i have enabled features.
2- In Step 9, i didn’t understand the warning what does it mean and should i setup product impression tracking.
WARNING!
This step is only needed if you set the “Products per impression” option to a value grather than 0 (zero).3- Just to confirm, I should add the below funnel in Google Analytics >> Ecommerce settings?
1. Billing data
2. Shipping data
3. Shipping method
4. Payment methodThank you again for your kind support
Please I appreciate your kind support. Thank you.
Hi,
#1 It is important that your Google Analytics tags share the same settings so that each data sending to Google uses the same parameters and methods. Here you can read more about this GTM variable:
https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/9207621?hl=en#2 The “Products per impression” feature is quite new and my plan is to have this enabled by default but first I do not want to shock users with updating all GTM container 🙂
This feature is here to make sure that your pageview hit is sent even on pages where lots of products are being shown. Some webshops include 20-30 products per category page which would create a huge dataset that is not possible to send to GA in one data package. Entering a number into “products per impression” will break up a larger dataset into smaller chunks so that all ecommerce data can be sent to GA properly. I would recommend to use this and set to 8-10 maximum.
#3 Correct
