Google Analytics for WordPress : remove the code

    I decided to remove the plugin Google Analytics for WordPress, and manually place the code in footer, but even though after deactivating/deleting the plugin still the google analytics code is getting generated in the header, kindly suggest us how to remove the code from header.

    are you running any cache plugins?

    are there any theme-specific settings that you need to change?

    try changing the theme to see if it’s still there

    try disabling plugins one by one to see if any of those are the root issue
