The Mandrill plugin (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wpmandrill/) on the live site returned internal error like: “Mandrill: wp_mail has been declared by another process or plugin, so you won’t be able to use Mandrill until the problem is solved.”

I’ve checked staging site and this one had not the same issue. I noticed one difference only – the staging site had non-upgraded plugins. Then I started upgrading of all plugins one by one and got similar to live site issue after updating of the Google Analytics by Yoast plugin.

I hade the same issues with my website but this error was fixed with latest updated. Are you sure that you are using the latest version for Analytics plugin?

Also try to temporarily disable both plugins and enable them again to see if it wasn’t some cache issue or else.

Well this issue indeed is there when updating to the latest version 5.2.8 Google Analytics by Yoast, see here as well: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/only-working-for-some-emails?replies=8.

There’s a new version: v5.3. Does updating to it fix the problem?

I’m experiencing the same thing with my “wp-ses” plugin, issue reported by several users.

The inclusion of pluggable.php

if ( ! function_exists( ‘wp_verify_nonce’ ) ) {
require_once( ABSPATH . ‘wp-includes/pluggable.php’ );
}

Does block any subsequent pluggable function other plugins may declare.

Appears in 5.2.8, don’t know yet if fixed completely with 5.3
