Hi all and thanks for the feedback.
As I was saying on previous threads there is a limited number or refresh tokens Google Account/Plugin, among many other limits.
Here’s a ist of common problems and known soluions.

Hi,
It looks that one of the recent updates for some reasons didn’t go well.
Please try the following:
- Uninstall the plugin
- Re-install the plugin
- Settings will be lost on uninstall, please authorize and setup the plugin again
- After minimum one hour, check the dashboard and see if the charts are displaying without errors
Let me know how it goes.
Morning (or afternoon), Alin!
I take it there’s no version change? It’s just a matter of “flushing out the current configs to get new configs”?
I’m doing this as a test on one of our sites. Thank goodness for both WP CLI and .bash_aliases; that simplifies the process a little bit. 🙂
Thanks for the follow up!

Exactly, I wasn’t able to identify the exact bug, but on my sites I’ve noticed that if an error occurs, for some reason all credentials are generated without a refresh token, which means that after an hour, the plugin will be unable to generate a new access token. On all sites the problem fixes only after an uninstall/reinstall.
If you want to check if a refresh token is generated, you will need to set WP_DEBUG to true on wp-config.php (this needs to be enable to reveal the token contents). Afterwards, go to Analytics Insights -> Errors & Debug -> Plugin Settings. Under the “token” setting look for “refresh_token” or simply search the page for “refresh_token”. If there’s one, you’re good to go.
Since you’ve probably authorized a lot, expect “invalid_grant” errors, on some sites, until all the maximum 25 tokens will rotate again.
Good morning, Alin! Disconnected again. I created a new “account” and am running one of the problematic sites through that account (I’ll limit this account to 24 total accounts). I’ve asked the website manager to keep an eye on things. I’ll let you know how that process goes.
Truth be told, I’m shocked the website manager hasn’t reamed me a new one, haha! He’s been SUPER patient about all of this, though I can sense his frustration.
Appreciate you staying on top of this, Alin. 🙂
The 401 issue, causing the need of repeatedly authorization, was fixed in latest version. If there are new issues or similar ones let me know by opening a new thread.
Thank you all for helping out with your feedback!
Good afternoon, Alin! Thus far, because I moved that one site into a secondary sub account, it has stayed connected. Looks like that’s resolving that issue. I’m still dealing with 621s on “past seven days”.
Mulțumesc mult, Alin, mi-ai fost de mare ajutor!
(To keep WP Mods happy, translation: “Thank you very much, Alin, you have been most helpful!”)
On all other sites you should update, clear authorization and re-authorize. (Mulțumesc și eu).
