    I cannot enter the following Link

    <a href="javascript:gtmOptOut();">Deactivate Analytics</a>

    Meeting the GDPR compliance EVERY website that uses Google Analytics MUST offer a Google unsubscribe Link. Entering this Link when using Page Builder will have the result when saving, that the Link is getting removed. We need very quick help for that!

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi, which widget are you trying to insert the link in question into? The processing of HTML lies with the widget in question.

    I’m on my phone so can’t actively test but I recommend trying the link in question in the Custom HTML widget.

    Hello Andrew,

    thanks a lot for even answering on your phone. The wohoel Text on the Page is a Layout Builder – 1 Row. I can enter Links, but not this kind of JavaScript Links.

    This is working

    <a href="/page.html">
    <a href="#page">

    This is not working cause it is deleted when saving

    <a href="gtmOptOut();">

    The answer is imprtant for many people. So it should be right. So answer this later on, when you are back on your working space.

    Thanks, Michael

    Thanks for the quick reply.
    Which widget are you using within the Layout Builder? The text would most likely be in an Editor widget. Instead, try the Custom HTML Widget.

    Open the Layout Builder, click the row in question, click add widget, search for the Custom HTML widget and try the paragraph and link in that widget.

    Thanks Andrew, but I am lost in your description. I cannt find the points you do describe. I have now tried a clean Text Widget – but it also cannot display the Link correctly.

    I would love to send you a screenshot – but the forum does not allow that.

    Sure. When you insert a widget in Page Builder there is a search field that allows you to search for widgets. Insert a new widget but instead of the plain Text widget insert a widget called the Custom HTML widget.

    Put another way, in the Layout Builder click Add Widget, now instead of selecting a widget to insert use the available search form, search for a widget called

    Custom HTML

    Thanks, but there is no Custom HTML

    It’s a core WordPress widget.
    It isn’t part of the Widgets Bundle.

    Please try the steps I’ve outlined above.
    Add a widget in Page Builder and search for Custom HTML and the widget will show in the search results.

    Thanks for you patience. I have tried to find the functions you are talking about. I could not. Sorry for that – but I am lost.

    Are you using Page Builder by SiteOrigin? This support topic was opened under Page Builder for SiteOrigin. You can check this under Plugins.

    The following page shows how to add a widget in Page Builder by SiteOrigin.

    These screenshots show how to add a widget and search for the Custom HTML widget.

    Previously you mentioned inserting a Text widget. How did you do that? Do the same but instead of inserting a Text widget, insert a Custom HTML widget. The Text widget is also a core WordPress widget, just as the Custom HTML widget is.

    OK, we are getting closer. There is NO Custom Widget.

    Are you using Page Builder by SiteOrigin? Have you confirmed that?

    Are you sure the word just hasn’t been localised into the language of the installation? Brauch?

    Have you tried searching for Custom in the language of the install? Brauch?

    The URL you listed when starting this thread is not using Page Builder. Please, confirm that you are using Page Builder by SiteOrigin. If so, why is it not being used on the link listed at the start of this topic.

    Shouldn’t I better give you access and pay you?
