Google Analytics Support

It doesn’t appear that there’s any support for adding analytics tools like Google Universal Analytics at this point. Is that on the horizon?

I would tend to see this as filling in a field with your Google Analytics ID and then AMP would automatically generate the appropriate script and event tagging. In the mean-time, is there an API function to add to the theme to add the analytics script?
