• I’ve got this set up from a legacy website. However in the settings it asks for a server key. when I try to set this up in the google API suite it states that that method is deprecated. is there a way of getting the plugin to work. on the front end it seems to be ok, but in the back end settings I get the following message from show response:

There’s a problem with the provided server key.

Error message: The provided API key is invalid.

plugin is the latest version and browser key seems fine.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there!

Please take a look at this article in the documentation. It describes in detail how to set up the API keys.

We recommend that you use the buttons inside the article. There is a button labeled “Create Server Key” and another labeled “Create Browser Key” and they create the right request to Google Maps to generate the right API keys.

Once you have generated the keys using this method, place them in the plugin settings, validate the keys and let us know if it didn’t work.

ok, so i have the keys working but the search, regardless of location zooms in and back to the global map again.

    Hi there,

Can you check if you have enabled the option labeled “Auto adjust the zoom level to make sure all markers are visible?”. Also check the values on “Initial zoom level” and “Max auto zoom level”. I believe this is just an issue regarding these settings, but get back to me if you cannot fix it.

Hey, So I’ve tried adjusting the settings. Say if you search by postcode ec1y 0ua (UK address) it still zooms back out… Is there an email I can get you on to provide temporary access at all?

Hi again, sorry to hear you are still having trouble. Please get in touch with us at our support service and we will help you from there 🙂
