Hello,

On Google Cloud Platform we are setup with Memorystore REDIS instance and get the below message after plugin update:

“The Predis library is not reliable on PHP 7.2 and newer. Consider switching over to Credis or PhpRedis to avoid compatiblity issues.”

Is this something to fix on the WHM/cPanel VM instance? As far as I know I cannot change it on Memorystore Redis on GCP

Hi!

This refers to the client used to connect to your Redis instance.

We recommend using PhpRedis for the best performance.

You can set the client like this:
```
define( 'WP_REDIS_CLIENT', 'phpredis' );
```

Just to let anyone else know who might be using a Memorystore REDIS instance on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
What did not work for us:
define( ‘WP_REDIS_CLIENT’, ‘phpredis’ );
What worked for us:
define( ‘WP_REDIS_CLIENT’, ‘credis’ );
