    Hi,

I have updraft free version and it is connected to google drive. my upload folder is 10Gb. I have set the updraft file size to 400mb.

I would like to know when backing up the upload folder will updraft create the first 400mb part file and then upload to google drive, then create the second 400mb part file then upload, so on. Or does it create all the 400mb part files and then upload to google drive.

I have space issues and cannot create the whole 10GB in backup files, but i do have space to do each file and upload.

    Thanks

    Jason

  • Hi there,

When the backup runs it will create and dispatch all the upload files during the backup run.
To do this it will create the backup files locally and then send them on to the remote storage.

Once all the files are successfully uploaded the copies on the local server will be cleaned up.
If there’s insufficient storage the backup won’t be able to send all the files to remote storage.

Which means the files on the local server will remain as the cleaning process will not execute.
I hope this info is helpful to you. The short answer, UpdraftPlus will attempt to upload all files.

    Best regards,

    Nick
