I have set up Updraft to back up to my Google drive and that is all well. Where do I change the file name of the files that are being uploaded to my Google drive? Right now they are being named backup with the date (backup_2015-12-09-1349) I would like a more descriptive name, is there a way to do that? I understand the folder name cannot be changed in the free version but I would like to change the file name.

    Hi,

I’m afraid that there is not currently a way to do this.

UpdraftPlus uses the structure of the backup file names (backup_<date>_<site>_<id number>-<part>) to detect and process existing backups. Without this naming structure, UpdraftPlus would not be able to recognize which files were correct.
