Google Drive issues
-
Hi,
I just realised my files haven’t been backed up in forever.
The error messages say:
– Have not yet obtained an access token from Google – you need to authorise or re-authorise your connection to Google Drive.
– Google Drive: Account is not authorized.
I have removed settings for Google Disk. I have de-authorized the plugin from accessing Google Drive. I re-autheticated with Google Drive. I have uninstalled the plugin. I have reinstalled the plugin. I have removed the app in the Google Disk settings. Everything without any error messages.
But when I go to run a backup I get the above mentioned error messages.
Can anyone help? I am not technically advanced, so I have no idea what to do.
Many thanks in advance. The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi,
Please could you try to wipe out UpdraftPlus settings? This will completely reset all UpdraftPlus settings and remote storage and it can be done via the
‘Advance Tools’ tab. After resetting, please setup your Google Drive settings again and run a test backup.
Do you still get the same error?
Regards,
BryleHi,
Thanks so much for getting in touch.
I wiped out the settings. Set it all up again. Got two messages after trying to connect to Google Drive, both on the same page, one above the other:
– Success: you have authenticated your Google Drive account.
– Have not yet obtained an access token from Google – you need to authorise or re-authorise your connection to Google Drive.
Didn’t have to run a backup to get the error message.Another thing. When I reverted back to Dropbox (temp solution until I get Google Drive or something else to work), I got this message upon connecting:
Success: you have authenticated your Dropbox account (though part of the returned information was not as expected – your mileage may vary)
Dropbox error: Error in call to API function “users/get_current_account”: request body: could not decode input as JSON (400)I ran a backup, and status said backup was run and successful at that, and the files were uploaded to Dropbox. My question is, is it still working despite the above message?
Hi,
Apologies for the late reply.
There is a current bug with Dropbox and the patch will be added on next release.

Bryle
