    Hi,
WPDatatables in CSS/ files, make sometimes a Import Call from google Fonts.
    @import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Inter:wght@300;400;500;600&display=swap);

There are no way to deactivate that (as I know). Thats is a Problem, at least in European countries, because of privacy policies.

We can always commet that lines, but I think it is not an elegant solution.

How about a option for Font download and read from local. Or maybe a option “not import google Fonts”

    Thank you in advance

    Hello there.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

At the moment, this is how the plugin works. We’re aware of the EU policies, and our developers will work on this in the future.

There’s no exact ETA, but we hope it will be resolved soon.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Dear @wpdatatables team,

I am really glad to read that you are working on this. However, 2 months later, I would like to emphasize that in my opinion this feature deserves highest priority, as there are already compensation judgements regarding google fonts that some lawyers are using as a business model: They are massively scanning websites for google fonts imports like the ones you are using in your plugin and send letters to the website owners. I agree with @dllopez that commenting out the CSS works as a workaround. However, I’m also sure that many users simply won’t manage this technically – it urgently needs a fix in the interest of the users and also in the interest of wpDataTables as a reliable and reputable plugin. Is there already an ETA in the meantime?
    Thanks!

    Hi, @andhow
This post was closed, but we are just following up since your reply has been brought to our attention.

We can confirm that our developers have raised the priority for this solution since there are more users who reported they need it.
They will be working to implement an option to give the ability to users,

to implement a hook ( with instructions on how to do it) that can completely disable all Google Web Fonts.
it should be added in one of the next updates.

We still can’t promise an exact ETA, but i can confirm the priority is raised and they will do their best to finish that as soon as possible.
