    Hello! Thank you for this great plugin-I have been enjoying using it and it has been extremely helpful for me and my users! I just got the notification that google requires a new API code and I followed your directions through Wizard #1 and #2 to generate an API code. When I test it, I get a message that Google Static Maps API Failed, But Google Embed Maps Worked…I’ve tried creating several API’s through the directions and each time, I get the same problem. Can I please some assistance so that I can continue to use your amazing plugin?

    Any help would be most appreciated! My website is http://www.luxlightphotography.net for your reference.

    Hi, thank you for the kind words.
    I had a look at your site and the map in the footer looks fine. Sometimes it just takes Google a bit longer to activate the API key.

    Ok thanks so much for letting me know. I observed the maps were working as well but when I was getting notified that I needed a new API from Google I thought something was wrong, especially when testing, I got an error. Thanks for your quick response!

    You’re welcome 😉

    Any idea how long this waiting takes? I’ve got the same problem here;

    btw on the contact page the map is still there. On the footer however it ‘disappeared’!??

    It takes 5-10 minutes max, but you most probably entered the referral blocking options incorrectly.
    If you want to protect your API key by using the “Accept requests from these HTTP referrers (web sites)” option in Google Console make sure to add your domain in these two formats: *.mydomain.com/* and mydomain.com/* and wait a few minutes until Google makes the necessary changes.

    Thanks a lot! Every map is working again!
