I’ve scoured previous posts on this, and have done everything I can see in the plugin instructions, but still get the Google sign in.

Have you checked to ensure that you have not enabled the “Disable download” option in the Spreadsheet’s sharing settings?

Both of the following are unchecked:

Prevent editors from changing access and adding new people
Disable options to download, print, and copy for commenters and viewers

Okay, try the full URL as the key. You could be wrong about using old-style Google Sheets.

Tried that too:

Nothing shows up:

Nothing is showing up because the spreadsheet is empty.

I tried this [gdoc key="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Gl_k5h_7UE7-tPYnNPJ_kXr_1ZBeMbZlMUuseiKB93c/edit"] on my own testing site and it works without a problem, displaying an empty table. Add some data to it.

Oh geez – duh – ok thanks. Does it take a while to update on your site when you make entries on the spreadsheet? Or do you need to update the link or do something different? Doesn’t seem to be very automatic.
