Hello, I have a simple question, regarding the Google Maps API integration in Elementor. The interface for the Google Maps element prompts: “Set your Google Maps API Key in Elementor’s Integrations Settings page. Create your key here.”

However, if I do not set up the API key, the Google Maps still loads on the frontend page. What restrictions will there be if I do not set api?(for example, is there a limit on the number of times the map can be loaded)?

    thanks!

    Hi @john2025!

If you don’t set a Google Maps API key in Elementor’s Integrations Settings, the map may still load on the frontend, but this relies on Google’s default behavior and isn’t guaranteed. Without an API key, you risk hitting usage limits, seeing watermarks, or the map failing to load if Google changes its policy. For full reliability and to avoid restrictions, we recommend adding your own API key. Learn more about setting up Google Maps in Elementor here.

    Kind regards,
