Google Map not saving place/coordinate

When I type in the place and select from the dropdown list the location I want, it displays the map location. But when I try to update/save the page, it reverts to a blank map again.

In the inspector error console I notice this:

TypeError: $ is not a function. (In ‘$(“input[name=coordinate]”)’, ‘$’ is undefined)
