    This was a nice plugin, but ever since this new version 3.10, I am going in circles trying to get an API key. Below are the test results from several times of trying to follow your directions. Additionally, did not upgrade to PRO, nevertheless the widget thinks so.

    Google Static Maps API test – OK
    Google Embed Maps API test – FAILED

    Hi,
    The API key is not something we like nor want. Google provides maps and they make the rules. We’re doing our best to make the transition as smooth as possible. That’s why, at the moment, maps work even without keys.
    Remove any referral based restrictions you may have set on the API key and make sure both API services are active. Please bear in mind that changes can take a few minutes to take effect.
    All users that previously had extra features active got PRO free for a month to try it out.
