just to narrow down the problem and help us debug the issue is it possible to try the following temporarily:
– deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems
Thanks for your reply.
All plugins except Events Manager were deactivated, but the error still occurred.
Switching to the latest version of Twenty Fifteen also failed to resolve the error.
Hope this helps!
A quick look at the code and the current APIs suggest that events_manager.js is calling a deprecated version of the Google Maps API. It loads 3.24 (3.26 is currently Release). And there may be additional calls to the API, which were removed or greatly changed.
I haven’t gotten rid of the error myself, but am assuming there will soon be an update.
Hope this helps.
Thanks @aldorr for confirming on your end.
Yes, I’m assuming the devs are working on this and will update ASAP 😉
I’ve made sure the Dev team are aware of this.
@caimin_nwl Thank you!
My client’s Website is going live soon. What is the timetable for an update to Events Manager that fixes this problem?
Cheers
Same issue. We have to go live Jan 1. So either I need to ditch event manager or turn off the google maps until it works again.
I have a valid Google AP, even regenerated.
Weird thing is, Admin shows the map, front end shows the map for a second then says the api key is missing. “Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError”
Even regenerated the google api key with all three libraries enabled. So its not google, not the api key. Something with the event manager wordpress calls.
Anyone know another event plug in I can use. I mainly want the event calendar, locations. WE use eventbrite for booking.
Please please help
