    Hi,
Whenever I try to add a Google Maps embed for an event, the embed box appears blank. I am using an active and functional Maps Embed API key. I have also copied the address for the venue as displayed on Google Maps and I am still presented with a blank box for the maps. This has been a running issue with this plugin for months and I am displeased that nothing has been done to correct it. Could you please investigate as to why the Maps Embed is not functioning.

Note: I am using Version 4.6.23 of The Events Calendar and the latest version of WordPress.

    Kind Regards,
    Dylan Grimes Larkin

  • I’m having the same issue. It would be nice if someone would give a response so I can rectify the issue for my clients. Thanks!

    Hey there @dylangrimesxo!

Thanks for reaching out — sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties.

I’m unable to view your site since it’s in maintenance mode. This is likely due to the Google Maps API key not being correctly set up.

Google recently rolled out changes that deny keyless APIs.

Here’s their new guide for obtaining an API key → https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

    Hope that helps!
