Google Maps V2 or V3?

Google maps didn’t like my API as mine was for V3. Personally, I’m not a fan of going backwards for technology, so it would be super cool if you updated to Google Maps v3 API, not just for me, but for longevity, features, and to take advantage of future enhancements. Thanks!
