No matter what I have tried, there seems to be NO way to get the google map widget content to stretch across the whole row (yes, i have all settings right, have the full width row applied to the row, I tried to add a width:100% to the widget itself, to no avail).

No matter what I try, there are two stripes around 30px wide on each side of the map

Is this a bug? Is there a way to get that funny map stretch across the whole row please?

    Thanks!

    Hi candy2012,

To clarify, have you set the row layout of the row containing the Google Maps to full width or full width stretched? I ask as Full Width will only allow the background of the row to be full width while Full Width Stretched will allow for the widget contents (ie. the map itself) to be full with.

If you have set it to full width, do you by any chance have a public URL where I can take a look at the issue? This would be the best way for me to diagnose what’s going on.

It should be noted that Google Maps do have a size limit (Google imposed) so if you are viewing your website at a very high resolution it’s possibly hit this limit.

    Hi,

row width was set to “full width stretched”

I am not viewing it at a very high resolution, just the normal one for a laptop.

Using a theme with siteorigin builder, but I have no problem whatsoever with the other rows. Only with the one containing the Google maps … ;(

I am sorry, but I never post URLs here πŸ™
Could do it by mail if you have one though πŸ™‚

    Hi candy2012,

Regrettably, we’re not allowed to request your email or post our email due to forum rules. I know it’s not ideal, but you’ll need to provide us with a link to your website for us to look into this issue. I’m sorry.

Regardless, does this issue occur if you temporarily change theme? I suspect your theme may be interfering with the Google Map.

    Hi,
Great, so we are stuck now …
Tried to use moesia-theme, any clue why this is happening?
    Thanks!

    Hi candy2012,

    I’m sorry mate. πŸ™
So, to clarify, switching themes didn’t help? Can you please try a default WordPress theme like Twenty Seventeen.

Honestly, I’m unsure why this is happening which is the main reason I really need to take a look at your website.

    Hi,
I guess it’s the theme, the site does not matter now, I tried the theme (see above) on more than one installation, same behaviour ….

The theme is based on your siteorigin so it’s quite strange that the maps do not really work properly πŸ™

As the other widgets have no problems stretching, I think there is some weird bug included in that maps widget

Maybe you can have a look?

    Hi candy2012,

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for the page that contains the maps widget? To do this please open up the linked page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
