Hi,

We’re looking at http://www.themanuallondon.com with SEO/ Yoast.

We added this in the Yoast snippet editor a few months ago: https://www.screencast.com/t/T8NRr3xy

But this is what appears when you search for the website in Google: https://www.screencast.com/t/uu3hIAhJ

Why does it not show what we’ve entered in the snippet editor? How can we edit what appears in Google?

It used to take in the data from Yoast but for some reason it has now stopped.

You searched for the manual london which means Google scans the index for that exact phrase. Google uses the search term to highlight information in search results and organize the results from most to least important.

The description you entered into the plugin does not include that search term so Google scans the rest of the page and shows parts of the page where the words appear.

To see the meta title and description without search term manipulation, use the site search operator followed immediately by the URL of your site.
