I write other plugins that improve Google PageSpeed scores and page performance (RS Head Cleaner Plus and Lite) and page load speed is a huge focus on all sites we do so I’m very familiar with the guidelines. I can confidently tell you that the WPSS file is not slowing down your site, and on the net the plugin is helping speed up your site by reducing server load through keeping spam out of the WordPress database.
