Google Plus Shares?
-
When I enable the share buttons from Jetpack, it shows my Facebook and Twitter counts, but the Google+ count always shows zero. Am I missing a setting?

Hi!
Can I have a link t your page so I can see for myself, please?
Sure, it is http://www.mhmcintyre.us
Clarification. The Google+ shares done via the Jetpack button show up, but not if someone shares from within Google+.
Hi,
Can you point me to a post in which that is the case (someone shared from within Goolge+ but not from the Jetpack button, so it shows 0) ?
Here is a post which shows Google+ shares at zero: http://www.mhmcintyre.us/dont-add-or-subtract/
A link to this post is on the Google+ page for my blog: https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/111459564965946539434/111459564965946539434/posts.
Hi Mark,
I have asked for some guidance on how the shares are counted, and I will get back to you.
Hi!
The count in the G+ button comes from Google, and we have no control over it nor do we know exactly how it’s generated, unfortunately. Only Google knows; maybe you can post your question here?

Thanks Richard. This was more of a curiosity than a substantive problem. As time allows, I’ll peruse the Google support site to see if an answer appears. Thanks for checking into this.
Mark, I have the same problem and I think this issue is due to DNS or something about the domain.
For example, this post has 6 G+ in Google Plus:
Google plus postBut in my web page has 0 G+:
iPhone 5S lanzamientoHave you find the answer? have you posted something at Google’s support? Thanks!!
@john These 2 posts are different:
- The first one appears on the Google+ platform. The button counts change when someone +1’s that post on Google+. The 6 G+ are related to that specific URL.
- The second one appears on your site, and Google counts the number of people who clicked the +1 button on that page, and that page only.
I hope this helps.
@jeremy thanks for your answer 😀
But sometime ago, that wasn’t so. If someone clicked in +1 button in Google plus also increased the indicator of G+ in the post’s web.
That’s possible; I’m not familiar enough with Google+ to confirm this.
I’m afraid we do not have any control over this button count though; if you’d like to change the behaviour of the button, you will have to contact Google directly.
I’ll do it 😉 Thanks for all your answers!! 😀
