Hello @emacipo,
Thanks for reaching out regarding the Google preview for your page.
I checked the page source and the title and meta description is shown below:
<title>Azienda Agricola Rovittello « Prodotti siciliani di alta qualità</title>
<meta name="description" content="L'azienda agricola Rovittello è ubicata sul terreno collinare dell'agro di Villalba nel cuore della Sicilia antica, fondata da Ettore Cipolla" />
I am a little confused as to what the problem is here; it may be due to the language barrier. But it seems the title and meta description you have entered in the Yoast SEO plugin is what is shown in the page source. For what is shown in Google search result, it is similar except for the extra bit of text added ‘agriculture, backdrop, bean-316595.jpg’. Am I correct?
@maybellyne
Thank you for your reply, the first part is fine, the problem, as you said, is the final part “agriculture, backdrop, bean-316595.jpg”.
Hi @emacipo
There are several reasons as to why the meta description appears differently in the actual search results. We can confirm that what you’ve set in the meta description field in the Yoast SEO meta box corresponds to the meta description tag in the page source, so it’s likely being caused by search term manipulation, caching, or Google decided to ignore your preferred description. In the end, it’s up to Google as to what they would like to output in the actual SERP.
