No errors importing the feed into google, related to the categories in GMC

If there are no errors in the Merchant center as well you will be fine.
Did you see the categories in your Google Adwords account?

Thank you. That is the problem, we do not see any categories in the Google Ads account

You will not see the Google categories by default in your Adwords/shopping account. Google will just show all products from your feed as a single unit in the dashboard. If the Google Categories are in the product feed and you have no error message in your Merchant center your just fine.

Morning,
In GMC under “all products” I’ve added the “Google Product Categories” column. None is currently showing, even though the xml feed does have them listed. Would that be a cause why Google Ads is not pulling them in?

If the correct data is in the feed, the best way to proceed is to contact your Google Helpdesk. I heard they are very helpful and usually can help you solve the issue.
