    Hello

I have legacy reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 keys in use across a number of client websites using your plugin.

Now with Google Recaptcha we have received the notification that my keys are eligible for migration to Google Cloud. But then we cannot use reCaptcha V2 or V3 anymore?

How then can we keep using your plugin for contact forms for websites? Sorry I’m bit confused on this new Google Cloud and Recaptcha. Do I have to get new Recapcha keys and enter in your plugin for each client?

Will I have to enter in new keys to backend of WP Forms when moving to Google Cloud for Recapcha? I’m so confused and wanting to ensure that my clients don’t go down with their website enquiry forms and have downtime and issues.

    Thanks

    Hi @kristinubute,

    Thanks for reaching out!

By the end of 2025, Google is changing how reCAPTCHA works. All reCAPTCHA keys must be migrated to Google Cloud projects, and this migration is mandatory. You can find more details about the changes in our blog post.

Google provides a guide on migrating an active site key from reCAPTCHA Classic to reCAPTCHA on a Google Cloud project here: https://docs.cloud.google.com/recaptcha/docs/migrate-recaptcha.

Please note that if you manage your Google reCAPTCHA keys at https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/, you will see a notice that should help you migrate your keys to the Google Cloud Platform smoothly. Here’s a screenshot from my own account.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions about WPForms Lite.

Thank you . WIll I still be able to use Recaptcha V2 and V3 as per your plugin? Even if I migrate I assume V2 and V3 still available with Recaptcha with your plugin? OR HOW do I use Recaptcha with your plugin then?

    Thanks
