I’m not sure if this is related to the latest update (we’re on 5.9.0), but we just started getting the following Google Search Console errors after updating:

    • Missing field “startDate”
    • Missing field “endDate”

This is showing up on expired events (“The event is finished”) and the date field (mec-single-event-date) shows no date, even though a date (in the past) is filled-in correctly on the back-end for the event.

Could you please advise on how we can fix this? Thank you!

    Hi There,

We simulated your problem in this topic in the newly released version and it is fixed. Please update MEC to 5.10.0 and clear your system cache and try again.

    Please keep us posted.

    Best Regards

It’s working for me now! Thanks!

@webnus — thank you so much! We are seeing this error for our offline events, though, which we believe is a new error:

    Missing field "location.address"

The location.address type is Place and the name (see screenshot) is City or City, State (for various cities in the USA)–either formatting of the name results in the Missing field "location.address" error.

How can we resolve this one?

    Hi @hastibe,

    You’re welcome,

In fact, with MEC lite we didn’t provide location details (address), but there is add-on functionality, you can remove address on your single event page and use third-party plugins (for free) or use MEC Advanced Map (premium add-on).
Use custom widgets on the sidebar.
Also, the latest solution to fix it(it’s free), you can use our developer documentation, we are explained in this article:

    Best Regards
