Google Shopping Feed Pulling wrong price
-
Hi, For some reason the price field is incorrect in my Google shopping XML feed. The correct price should be $249.99 and it’s showing $279.99, any ideas why this is happening?

Hi,
Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the prices in your feed.
The USD 249.99 is coming from somewhere obviously. Could this be a sale price or the price excluding VAT or are you using a currency (converter) plugin? Depending on where the wrong price is coming from you can change the field mapping for Google’s g:price field to any of these attributes:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hbfukc55s5hnfyv/different-prices.png?dl=0I’ve got a similar issue but I think the problem might be with how google interprets the feed??
I’ve got multiple pack sizes set as variations in woo commerce. For one product google is assigning the cheaper price to both products and then disapproving the item.
The pricing of the variations in the feed is correct, but google seems to be ignoring the feed.
Hi,
I think you are experiencing the WooCommerce bug that is being described here:
https://adtribes.io/woocommerce-structured-data-bug/Thanks for that.
I’ve been running the ‘Fix WooCommerce (JSON-LD) structured data bug’ option for the whole time except for maybe the initial feed creation. So not sure if that’s the problem.
Maybe once google disapproves it takes them a few weeks of consistent data to re-approve?? I’ve tried to manually reprocess in merchant centre but that doesn’t fix it
a few weeks sounds rather long to me, usually this takes a few days at most.
Anyhow, we can easily check if the structured data has actually been fixed and matches prices in your feed.
Can you:
- Share the feed URL with us
- Share some product ID’s that Google disapproved because of the price mismatch reason?
Thanks
The product that gets disapproved is:
https://www.guardindustry.com.au/shop/guard-cleaner-eco/
In merchant centre both pack sizes are showing the smaller pack size price
Thanks for this, I checked and the structured data indeed has not been fixed. My guess is that this is because you are running another plugin or theme that does a lot to the structured data as well and is overwriting the changes our plugin makes to the prices structured data.
I could tell you are running such a plugin or theme by checking the structured data like this: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/?hl=en#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.guardindustry.com.au%2Fshop%2Fguard-cleaner-eco%2F%3Fattribute_pa_size%3D5-litre
I think you’re right. Rank Math applies product Schema to products. I disabled it on that product and it cleared the errors in the Structured Data Testing Tool. It’s odd that only some items were affected. All items in the store had the same schema settings.
It’s still showing an error in the merchant centre, but hopefully that should clear in a few days.
Thanks for your help
