I am new to all of thus. Just trying to slowly begin using basic google analytics and I thought installing the Google Site plugin would be easy but unfortunately have already ran into an error. I keep getting this error when trying to get our website synced up with google analytics. ‘Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-126559449-1), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.’

Note: I do not know anything about code or searching through page sources, I don’t know how to remove existing tags etc.

@cts21 Thanks for getting in touch, hopefully we can help you determine the source of the reference snippet. There may have plugins with Analytics integration features which you have active, such as Google Tag Manager for WordPress.

Can you try and check such plugins, along with your theme settings for any Analytics snippets? If you’re unable to locate the snippet please share your Site Health information and we can try identify other possible insertion methods. You can share privately if preferred.
