    Can you please advise which is the best way to include google tracking id to the wordpress website?

    If there is no option for it to be added into the template itself, then its probably best to do it via a plugin. There are quite a few around, but personally I like Google Analyticator as its kept up to date and also allows for auto-tagging on external URLs and things like that
