Google Webmaster Tools Error

    Hi,

    I’m getting the following error under Google Webmaster tools:

    Error: Missing required field “updated”.
    Error: Missing required hCard “author”.

    Are you able to fix this is the next update? Or post how I would fix this myself?

    Actually is this information important for pages which don’t change?

    Or is it more for posts on a blog, to show when they were posted on Google?

    My website is currently built with pages and not posts, so as long as it won’t hurt my SEO, or cause any other issues with the site, I might leave it as is.

    It would be great to hear your opinion on this though?

    I’m not an SEO expert, but Decode is made to be very SEO friendly and accessible. The updated field won’t be visible on each post until the post is actually updated, likewise, the author field will only be provided when a blog is multi author and needs to specify which author is responsible for a post. I don’t believe that not having these bits of info when they would be redundant is detrimental to the site’s SEO performance.
