Google Webmaster Tools is reporting an error, that after reading wordpress forums it looks like a problem with a theme.
under Google Webmaster Tools -> Search Appearance -> Structured Data > hatom (markup: microformats.org)
error was reported as:
missing: updated

in the wordpress forums, it seems a solution is discussed here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/magazine-basic-google-webmasters-tools-missing-updated-missing-author?replies=4
is this right, and if yes, how do i do this in the sorbet theme?

Sorbet doesn’t use the function the_date(); but instead uses a customized function called sorbet_posted_on() which you’ll find in /inc/template-tags.php

In a child theme, you could add the class “updated” to any instances of

<span class="post-date">

… and see how it goes.
