I just received some feedback from my hosting service on one of my sites. I am experiencing this with 2 of my sites at the hosting service. I am asking them to provide the command check for both websites. Once I have all of the information, I’ll share this info with your team via the Site Health information form.
Both of the websites are on shared hosting plans on separate servers.
Since these problems are not affecting the front end of my sites, I can certainly resume this with you and your team next week.
I just submitted the cURL command check for both of my websites via your Site Health information form.
Thanks @figmint. I’ll add this to the notes when discussing with the team this week. I’ll report back to you when I have an update.
In the meantime please do attempt to install a clean new WordPress site on the same hosting platform and check does the same occur.
Hi @figmint,
I’ve spoken with the team regarding your case and the block you’re encountering is a block from the Google service APIs, as opposed to any Site Kit specific block.
We are adding an additional check in the upcoming Site Kit release, due next week. This check will allow identify further host related blocks that restrict Site Kit set up. Until then I’m afraid I don’t have further insights based on your hosting configuration. You may need to whitelist Google servers, or check for any firewall rules.
