GPP support?

    I see the plugin offers TCF v2 support – do you support GPP signals as well? I cannot find any settings or anything in the site’s support about it.

    Hi @whitneyd,

    Thank you for your interest in Real Cookie Banner. Our solution is currently focused on complying with the requirements in the EU. In this region, the TCF v2 standard of IAB Europe is currently the relevant standard.

    We are aware of the IAB GPP standard, which we have not yet implemented, as complaints are currently pending at the ECJ, which could or, in our opinion, will lead to the need for a TCF v3 standard or alternatively an adapted IAB GPP standard. As long as there is no legal clarity here, we will wait and see and then implement the version of the IAB GPP that is really relevant for EU website drivers.

    Duly noted. I work for an online ad network, and GPP is the standard for advertising going forward (especially with Google products) – so this is disappointing. I’ll pass this along to the site we were working with who is using your plugin.
