GPS meta data

I had some problem using XML Google Maps pluging and ngg. Everything worked fine using a gpx file, but not when I was reading gps data from the image it self. It turned out to be a problem in ngg and there is a fix for it at http://www.lecentre.net/blog/archives/1201 after applying it everything works like a charm. Is it possible to include this fix (or similar) in a future release of ngg? I’d like to avoid having to hack the code everytime ngg is updated….
